Grid MCE (Mixed Cellulose Ester) membrane filter is a specialized filtration tool used in laboratories and industrial applications for the separation and analysis of particles and microorganisms. These filters are made from a blend of cellulose acetate and cellulose nitrate, providing a combination of high porosity and high retention capacity.
The filter surface is imprinted with a grid pattern, typically 3 mm x 3 mm squares, which aids in the counting and analysis of microorganisms under a microscope.
Naturally hydrophilic, making it suitable for aqueous solutions and ensuring uniform wetting and minimal resistance during filtration.
Can be sterilized by autoclaving at 121°C, gamma irradiation, or ethylene oxide (EtO) gas, ensuring contamination-free operation.
Compatible with a wide range of chemicals, including dilute acids and bases, making it versatile for various applications.
